![]() ![]() I will be researching to find a reputable place to replace the cells inside the old case, as Currie does not offer such service or recycle old packs. I hope this info helps and I'm happy to answer any questions. After that, the power button on the handle bars will not function unless the power button on the battery is pushed first. Once the battery pack is slid into place, the display briefly turns on and reads "C130" (if I am recalling the number portion correctly) and then the display turns off. I highly recommend this particular brand new replacement battery. Anyway, the range on full charge for throttle only with this new battery is 18 miles, if my memory serves me correctly. The new bike battery power cutoff was significantly more easily triggered. We can rebuild and repair these often upgrading the capacity in the process giving you longer range rides. If your battery is in need of service, give us a call. Many of their models utilize the Currie Technologies Electro Drive drivetrain system. The old battery must be bounced severely for it to lose power in the same manner. IZIP's are one of the most popular brand of e-bikes. It took 2 power outages to get it up the steps because I'm unable to lift or push the bike. So I had to repeat the removal and reinstall. Now, with some basic soldering, we've found we can offer one of our own 48V 17.5Ah Sea Lion batteries or Shark 2 Battery as a. I had to slide the battery out and back in to regain power and after the bike bounced it lost power again. Do you want to double your range on your iZip E3 Dash, E3 Peak, or E3 Sumo e-bike Previously, if you wanted an upgrade, we could only rebuild it to 48V 10.5Ah (improving it from 8.7Ah) due to the size of the case. I had to use the throttle to walk it up a few stairs that were not steep and as the bike bounced a little bit the display turned off and I lost power. The only differences that I can see is the new battery has the addition of a power button with lighted 5-bar power indicator and it's slightly longer. IZIP e-bikes have surged in popularity, and the demand for electric bike parts has kept pace. So I ordered a brand new $600 battery from Currie and I'm very pleased with it. By late 2020 and after lots of use in throttle mode, the range after a full charge had over the years gradually gone from18 miles (throttle only range) down to around 11 miles. But after my third surgery, I used it a lot in pedal assist mode for physical therapy. The 2015 IZIP E3 Dash is a high performance city style electric bike that offers throttle mode up to 20mph and pedal assist up to 28mph. Not much use the first 2 years due to me having spinal issues. Generally, I have been looking for a Class 3 commuter set up to take me on a very flat 20 mile on way commute in the Dallas, TX area. I asked the seller if he would be willing to sell me just the bike and drop the price, as I would be interested in just purchasing some 3rd party batteries so I know they work, but he said then he would be stuck with some ebike batteries that he couldn't sell, so he'd prefer to sell them all together. With that being said, I've been looking used, and was curious if anyone has an opinion on this 2014 iZip E3 Dash? Does it seem like a good deal at $1k? In my ideal world, I would replace our family's second vehicle with an ebike, but I am nervous to put down big money on a nicer model before trying one out and making sure it's a fit for our lifestyle. I am in the market for my first ebike, but have not pulled the trigger yet as I'm a little strapped for cash. ![]()
